  • Guard Your Heart

    Guard Your Heart.

Three Reasons Why You Must Guard Your Heart – Michael Hyatt

Because your heart is extremely valuable. We don’t guard worthless things. I take my garbage to the street every Wednesday night. It is picked up on Thursday morning. It sits on the sidewalk all night, completely unguarded. Why? Because it is worthless.
Not so with your heart. It is the essence of who you are. It is your authentic self—the core of your being. It is where all your dreams, your desires, and your passions live. It is that part of you that connects with God and other people.

Because your heart is the source of everything you do. King Solomon says it is the “wellspring of life.” In other words, it is the source of everything else in your life. Your heart overflows into thoughts, words, and actions.
Like natural springs, where water flows to the surface of the earth from deep under the ground. It then accumulates in pools or runs off into creeks and streams. If you plug up the spring, you stop the flow of water. If you poison the water, the flow becomes toxic. In either situation, you threaten life downstream. Everything depends on the condition of the spring.Likewise, if your heart is unhealthy, it has an impact on everything else. It threatens your family, your friends, your ministry, your career, and, indeed, your legacy. It is, therefore, imperative that you guard it.

Because your heart is under constant attack. When Solomon says to guard your heart, he implies that you are living in a combat zone—one in which there are casualties.
Many of us are oblivious to the reality of this war. We have an enemy who is bent on our destruction. He not only opposes God, but he opposes everything that is aligned with Him—including us.

Question: What was the last time your heart was attacked? How did you respond?

  • Summer Giveaway Four – And the Winner Is…

Chika Ajaegbu of Abuja gets this one. She is the lucky winner of the red boxy maknisy bag.

All answers are correct in their own right but we can only choose one winner, and a random selection it was.

    See her response below:

5 must have items in a lady’s bag are:
    1. Mini Hand Sanitizer: Although not so popular in our parts, it is a must have for every lady, and ensures that your hands are germ free every time.
2.Compact powder: This is handy, and comes with a mirror to ensure you can always powder your nose between meetings, and breaks. Also ensure it comes with a mirror so that you can look your best, all the time!
3.Wallet: A handy place for putting your money, instead of stuffing into corners of your handbag.
4.Pack of tissue: Must always have a pack of these in your handbag. Instead of carrying a roll of tissue paper, you can look out for these small, cute easy to carry tissue packs.
5.Cellphone: This is a MUST item! Where would we all be without our cellphones? (lol)

Congratulations Chika. You got lucky indeed. Don’t forget to send us pics of how you rocked your handbag win.

The final summer giveaway maknisy bag is next week. Keep checking SL Fabz. All the best and enjoy the weekend.

The spotlight is on last week’s Summer Giveaway, Faustina. She sent in the pictures above of her receiving and rocking her blue maknisy bag win

    Isn’t she lovely?

This is what she had to say:

As I tried to get my daily dose from Stephanie Daily that early morning of Thursday the 18th of July, nothing prepared me for the surprise I met. There was my name as the winner of this beautiful butterfly maknisy bag that I now rock. My first reaction was to throw my legs up in the air in excitement. I was so excited; I couldn’t wait to get it. Now as I rock it, I have a big smile on my face and my excitement is raised to power two. Thank you Stephanie, you are simply the best.

Congratulations Faustina aka Candy Rex Fauzzy!

  • My upcoming movie – “DRY”

    dry Collage
At this critical juncture I am now compelled to release the unofficial (raw footage) videos of my upcoming movie, “DRY” to galvanize support from Nigerians and the International community for the revocation of the Senate resolution on under-age marriage.  It’s time to lend your voices and share your thoughts. We need to protect the girl child from incessant abuse. Please watch and share.

  • No To Under-Age Marriage Law!

When this email/petition was sent to me, I knew I had to endorse and share it.

Since I saw the email I cannot remain mute about the current bill passed, the vote on the constitution amendment bill which caused an uproar in the senate this past Tuesday.

“The contentious provision, Section 29, allows citizens who are of age to renounce Nigerian citizenship if they wish. For that purpose, the constitution says, 18-year-olds and above shall be considered to be “of age”.

In addition, a woman or girl who is married, shall also be considered to be of age- a section that could be interpreted to imply that even a day old child, once married, shall be considered to be of age.

    The tricky part is:

“That this section, when referenced in the larger picture will make a pedophile, who marries even an 8 year old (as I have seen in Nigeria) “not liable because his “CHILD Wife” is automatically considered an adult. The likes of him will immediately point you to section 29, subsection 4b that says – “any woman who is married shall be “deemed to be of “full age.””

The child that got married did not chose to do so on her own will, she was forced into marriage and should not be deemed an adult as a result..

Nigerians, it is time to lend your voices, sign the petition and share your thoughts.

We need to protect the girl child from incessant abuse. Take a minute to sign the petition that was started here
