  • GRATITITUDE: FAVOURITE BIBLE VERSES

    “GRATITUDE helps us see GOD. Gratitude opens our spiritual eyes. There’s a beautiful cycle in giving God thanks: the more we thank Him, the more we see Him working in us and around us. Gratitude helps us sense God’s presence, His personal care and His perfect timing.” We find this words from Lisa Appelo blog to be instructive.

    God moves with the level of your gratitude. Spiritual doors are open when you drench yourself in gratitude. There are so many benefits to staying grateful. As you move through the tides in a difficult situation, remember to be still and practice gratitude.

    Here are some of our favourite bible verses that puts us in the mood of GRATITUDE:

    Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. – Philippians 4:6

    I will give thanks to you, LORD, with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. – Psalm 9:1

    THEREFORE we do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away, yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. – 2 Corinthians 4:16

  • You Have The Strength To Overcome

    Life has a funny way of testing us. We are constantly presented with obstacles that we must somehow find the strength to overcome. Many of us need strength to stay positive, to overcome stress, and to make the most of unprecedented times.

    If you’re going through any challenging time, I’d like to encourage you today: please remember that you have the strength to overcome this, even when it doesn’t feel like it. 

    Strength doesn’t come from what you can do, it comes from overcoming the things you once thought you couldn’t. We never really know how strong we are until we are faced with hardship. We learn to let go of our fears and take steps towards our future. 

    We become better people as a result of our struggles. Our accomplishments are that much greater because we realize how much strength and dedication it took to achieve them.

    So dear Amazonians and Warlords, face your fears! You’re stronger than you think you are.

  • 10 Things Healthy Women Do Before 7am

    Becoming a morning person doesn’t always come naturally, but if you make the conscious effort to get up and incorporate a few healthy practices into your morning routine, you’ll find yourself more awake, more focused, and ready to take on the day! What you do when you first wake up matters because how you spend your morning can set you up for success for the rest of the day.

    So, what do Healthy Women do before 7 am? I’ll give you 10 of them:

    1. They don’t hit snooze
      It’s tempting to hit that button for a few more minutes in bed, but what impact will a few more minutes have? Get up, and get going! You’ll find yourself feeling wide awake within minutes.
    2. Drink a big glass of water
      Drinking more water is one of the best things you could do for your body. Especially after sleeping all night, it’s important to rehydrate as soon as you wake to feel more energized.
    3. Limit phone use
      Unless it is absolutely critical for your line of work, don’t check your phone the second you open your eyes. Give yourself at least a little time to be fully present instead of falling prey to the reactive, response mode that all those notifications and alerts promote.
    4. Move your body
      Whether it’s traveling to work by bike, starting the day with a sun salutation, or a few laps of jogging around the park, get your circulation going and let the endorphins go wild.
    5. Read
      Taking a few minutes to read something inspiring or educational in the morning will put you in a good frame of mind before you’ve even left the house.
    6. Plan your day
      It’s often tempting to dive straight into responding to emails first thing in the morning, however taking time to plan your day can improve time and workload management, preventing unnecessary stress caused by short deadlines or last-minute surprises.
    7. Breakfast
      Breakfast provides must needed fuel to body and brain after an overnight fast – that’s where its name originates, breaking the fast. Without breakfast you are effectively running on empty, like trying to start the car with no petrol.
    8. Meditate
      Some people might not necessarily feel an energy boost from meditating, but because it helps us to think more effectively and efficiently, it should make for a much more productive day.
    9. Make the bed
      By keeping a clean and tidy looking room it reflects your mental state. If your mind is open and ready, your room should be clean and tidy. Having a messy bed or bedroom causes my mind to feel jumbled or cluttered and you can’t fully think straight.
    10. Carve out 15-30 minutes for yourself
      It is easy to “save” time later in the day to be creative, but it’s often better to place it at the top of your to-do list. Set aside 15 or 30 minutes every morning to do something just for you, just because you like to do it.

  • What is the biggest lesson you learned this year?

    Each year brings its own set of blessings, challenges, and lessons to learn and 2021 was certainly no exception. As we head into 2022, I can’t help but reflect on what I’ve accomplished, what I’ve overcome, and the lessons I want to carry with me into the New Year.

    This time of year is always busy, but if you give yourself permission to slow down a little it can also be a valuable season of self-reflection. I’m thankful for the important lessons learned through the struggles of this year!

    This year might have been hard, but there’s a reason for it and a purpose. Through every hardship, battle, and trial we’re faced with while on this earth, there is a purpose behind it and a lesson to be learned.

    As we optimistically look ahead into 2022, what are the top lessons you’ve learned in 2021?

  • Happy Birthday Maxwell! Photos From My Son’s 6th Birthday Celebration

    It’s almost two weeks today and we haven’t gotten over the blast from Maxwell’s birthday celebration.

    He had so much fun with his friends on a party themed ‘adventure and extreme fun’. The plan the was to get them physically exhausted and it went down just like we wanted.

    I’m so grateful to everyone who turned up to make the day special for us. And to you all for your good wishes.

    To the sweetest boy in the world, happy belated birthday! You are truly loved.
