  • I’m Loving…

    I’m Loving…

Justin Bieber has become a pop culture and I am loving his latest effort; a song that gives us a glimpse into his growing maturity! As long as you love me is a beautiful song – free of profanity and very mature and impressive. The song is serious and light-hearted at the same time, and we see how the 18-year-old demonstrates strong vocals as he sings:

As long as you love me/we could be starving/we could be homeless/we could be broke…

    And in another breath proclaims…

As long as you love me/I’ll be your platinum/I’ll be your silver/I’ll be your gold…

With those beautiful lyrics I welcome you to another new day – it’s a Friday!

So tell me, do you have this kind of love in your life?Smile

  • What I Caught on TV!

    What I Caught on TV!

The news of Cynthia Akuzogwu Udoka’s death has left a wave of shock, distrust, pain and cry for justice. I cannot begin to imagine what her family will be going through at this time. It is every parent’s nightmare! The 25 year-old was killed by two university students who lured her to Lagos, paid her flight, lodged her in a hotel, then drugged her drink and proceeded to rid her of all her possession and eventually killed her. As the news affirmed, these were young men she met on Facebook whom she had hinted about her plan to run a clothing business and they had told her she could get good prices from them…as far as we know, that was what encouraged the relationship with these men who turned out to be murderers!

A sad end to a promising life! The virtual world is as real as we want it to be!

What can we learn from this sad incident? *RIP Cynthia*

This Prada tote bag comes in a crushing blue tint that makes it a powerful tool for any woman. I like that it also has the extended strap that gives it a certain form of versatility and adaptability to our everyday work life.

    My Boss hates me!

    Dear Stephanie,

I am being verbally abused by my boss, and I am just tired of it! I am a 37 year old man happily married with two kids. But lately I have been losing my temper quickly and I suspect it is my own way of handling the situation in the office. Last time I shouted at my wife for no concrete reason, and she said I have changed. I do not want to ruin the peace in my house and I do not want to lose my job. How do I deal with the situation? – Emeka

    Stephanie’s MAKEUP SECRET!

    Girls love make-up! whoop!!

‘Kunbi of SitPtretty has worked on some of my photo-shoots and red-carpet moments. She reveals some of the tips of my ready-to-go look!

    ***

I’ve had loads of opportunities to work on Stephanie’s shoots and Red Carpet events, and I must say, she has a unique love for beauty  products! Which is, of course, the first step to getting the best make-up for yourself – you must love, appreciate and understand the products that work for you!

Beneath her makeup, Stephanie’s skincare is impressive. Stephanie doesn’t start her makeup without a few spritz of MAC Fix+ to refresh her skin and waken her cells. Smashbox’s Photofinish Primer as well as MAC’s Oil Control Lotion are applied to keep oil at bay.

She loves MaryKay foundation and a few drops of MAC’s Lustre Drops are added to give her skin a dewy finish. Iman Oil-Blotting Pressed Powder and Sheer finish bronzing powder finish up her glowy natural look.

Stephanie absolutely loves MAC blushes for her cheeks and MAC’s ‘Oyster Girl’ Tinted “Lipglass” for her lips to achieve that polished yet natural look.

For her brow highlight, she loves using YSL’s Touche Eclat and also a touch of that on her cheekbones.

  • Beautiful scars…

    Beautiful scars…

Everyone has scars. It could be the pain that stays in your heart when someone you truly love and admire does not reciprocate that same passion; it could be the bitterness of growing up in lack that shortens your expectations and opportunities in life; it could be the fear of living in a violent relationship; the regrets of past mistakes; it could also be the evidence of an accident.

Scars can make you insecure and feel less than beautiful, especially physical scars – the type that is all out for people to see. But do not let your scars stop you from living.

If your heart is heavy of pain – it is time to let it go. The scars that remain from years of un-forgiveness is so damaging that it can live you looking many years older than you really are. If you have regrets from the past, be consoled that you are human and you make mistakes. The most important thing is that you lift yourself from the gaffes you have made and bounce right into the present where you have all the power to re-write and edit your script of life!

And if it is a physical scar, do not let it control your life. Stroke the scar, remember the incident if you wish, but be thankful that you made it out alive; and you still have a chance at life! Life is the fair game we’ve all been presented with, who cares if you’ve got a bump on your chin?

    Live your best life!

I have lived with my physical scars for years now – after a near-death incident, and every day I realise just how beautiful I am despite them. I have a wonderful life, a great career, a family of love – what more can a young woman ask for?

So as I welcome you to my world, I want you to come just the way you are – imperfections are allowed; we are here to learn, to grow, and become.

What scars do you suffer? Let us share and comfort one another.
