This poem below sums up all I have to say to you today and I pray that the joy of the season will not cease in your homes this day and forever more 🎅
CHRIST THE REASON FOR THE SEASON
The greatest gift to all mankind
Came to put our past behind
To take away our shame and sin
To reconcile us to the father through him
This is a reminder of God’s infinite love
This is indeed true love
His kindness is immeasurable
Sent his son to us to make us able
Took away the sin which is a disease
Hunting the inner man with ease
Now the inner man is free
Yet Christ paid the fee
Show love to others was what he said
Living this out was what he simply did
The perfect example we follow
The reason of my tomorrow
The word became flesh indeed
Left heaven just for our need
The need for the salvation of our soul
In Christ we are made whole
We celebrate his birth but better is his coming
For God is good and ever loving
For he has called you as his own
So he will never leave you alone.
Merry Christmas

It’s that time of the year again!!! Christmas is just around the corner SL Fabz, and I’m sure we are in the mood for some fun this year.
What better way to get you in the Christmas spirit than with some music?
If you’re a regular visitor of this blog, you’d know how much I love this group – Pentatonix. Whenever I’m in the mood for some Christmas Carols, I often think of them.
So, let’s spread some Christmas cheer with these songs as we count down to the big day!
Mary, Did You Know?
Little Drummer Boy
I also fell in love with this one too: Kelly Clarkson, Pentatonix – I’ll Be Home For Christmas
Which is your favourite song?
A Blessed Christmas to you and to your family. May the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ bring you and your family endless prosperity, blessings and peace of mind that you truly deserve.
On this joyous day, and throughout the new year, may your life be filled with an abundance of love.
My sincere wish for you is that this Christmas will end the present year on a cheerful note and make way for a fresh and bright New Year.
Here’s wishing you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
A little holiday splurge is really common. In fact, so common you won’t know what hit you until you count how much you’ve spent! Clothes, shoes, food, gifts, show tickets, more food, gadgets, home appliances… There are lots of things we tend to spend money on during the holidays, sometimes digging into our savings and even worse, going into debt.
Sadly many find themselves in this trap right after the holidays. Here are some tips to get out of debt:
1. Don’t ignore the bills
It might seem like the easiest way to deal with holiday debt is to pretend like it doesn’t exist. The truth is, it does exist and ignoring it will only make it worse.
2. Get a part-time job
If your salary can’t adequately cover your debt, its time to start thinking of getting something else you can add to your job. And thanks to the Internet, there are more opportunities than ever to do just that. If you run a business, its time to start thinking of an expansion.
3. Reduce your monthly spending
Now will be a good time to start reducing the amount of money you spend each month. The holiday have revealed that you are spending above your means, hence your debt position.
4. Don’t add more debt
This is almost like the point I mentioned above, but not exactly. As you reduce your monthly spending, be careful not to add more debts in subsequent months when you get to a more relaxed position with your finances.
5. Give it all you’ve got
Being in debt is never a good thing. It sets you back in so many ways. Try your very best to get out of this rut as soon as possible.
So, did you get into any holiday debt? What did you spend so much on that got you into debt? How are you planning on paying off your debts?
Your tips might just help someone today. Let’s share!
There are several songs written about Christmas day, but not many about the day after Christmas. So today, I went searching for something to inspire me about the ‘Day After Christmas’ and came upon this song by Matthew West.
I was really touched by these lines:
Even when Christmas is over, the Light of the world is still here.
Take down the lights and the star and the tree
But don’t let this world take your joy after Christmas
Take joy to the world and just sing
The hype abut Christmas Day may be over, but let’s not forget the reason for the season, Jesus Christ, who is here for eternity. Here are the full lyrics of the song. I hope it inspires you:
“Day After Christmas”
Here comes the letdown Christmas is over
Here comes the meltdown, there goes the cheer
But before we have a breakdown, let us remember
The light of the world is still here
Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here
The light of the world
Come January I’m ready for summer
The Super Bowl’s over and I’ll settle for spring
Sometimes we all need a change in the weather
But it won’t change the reason we sing
Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here
The light of the world
The light of the world
The light of the world
So take down the stockings, take back the sweaters
Take down the lights and the star and the tree
But don’t let this world take your joy after Christmas
Take joy to the world and just sing
Happy day after Christmas
And merry rest of the year
Even when Christmas is over
The light of the world is still here
[x2]
The light of the world [x7]
May your life be filled with lots of happiness
Today and throughout,
May this Christmas bring to you,
A new reason to smile
All the time
Today we celebrate God’s immeasurable gift of love to mankind. May it mark the rebirth of your dreams and take you to new horizons in 2015!
Merry Christmas!!!

Hi SL Fabz,
Christmas is just around the corner, Whoop!! Whoop!!
The excitement is in the air and I have a spring in my steps today. I can almost smell Christmas and the frenzy for last minute Christmas shopping is on the high. It’s just about noon and the shops and markets are already filled up!
A friend came to see me this morning before going shopping and when I saw her Christmas shopping list, I had a good laugh. She was going to buy 7 Chickens for 7 Family Friends. When I asked, ‘Why not give a gift or a hamper instead of a chicken?‘ she said ‘What’s Christmas without a chicken? And I don’t mean any chicken. A live chicken that you kill at home.’
It made me remember the excitement I used to have as a child whenever we killed a chicken during Christmas. Those were fun days. There is something different about having all the parts of the chicken dancing in your pot rather than just the laps. And of course the taste is different and better!
But before I make this post about chickens, let’s get back to the topic of the day. Are you shopping today? What is the most important thing you must buy this Christmas either for yourself or for family?
