  • Are the kids reading?

If we want a better society, if we want change and development on the increase

If we want our economy to grow, our lives to flourish

If we want a brighter tomorrow, a future laden with possibilities…

It is important that we engage the little ones in the things that matter

    One of them is READING!

    Are we reading?

And are we encouraging the kids to read?

I am not talking academic materials only

They need to explore life through books

They need to visit the world through books

Buy a book today for a child

Help build the future of Nigeria

    Welcome to a new week!

  • Boonville Redemption- shoot starts today!

I’ll be on the set of an American western movie, playing the role of Doris- a lady from the second generation of slave trade in America whose parents came from Nigeria. Doris is no longer a slave and she lives with her Uncle in this community where people are not judged by their race or colour. She is a strong compassionate woman who forms a bond with a young girl, Melinda, who grew up not knowing her father. Doris plays the role of convincing her Uncle to reveal the truth to this young girl about her father’s whereabouts. She also helps take care of Miss Mary, Melinda’s grandmother when she was ill and sheltered a young boy who had no place to stay.

We are shooting in Los Angeles and this also gives me enough time to work on the post-production for my soon-to-be-released movie, Dry.

There’s also my reality show, “Make Me Fabulous” that is also in the works. I’ve shot some episodes and I truly believe y’all will find it inspiring.

    These are exciting times!

You, my dear regular fans of this blog, will be the first to see the behind the scene shots of Boonville Redemption. Just keep your eyes glued to Stephanie Daily.

I wish you a wonderful weekend!

    Love, always!

  • Guys, what would you do?

    Guys, it’s your turn!

You have been dating this lady for two years. You have been a good man to her, you have both talked about marriage and made casual plans about the future.

Then you decide to plan an elaborate proposal. You invite both your families and friends to a classy restaurant; you have purchased an expensive diamond ring…

She walks in, the place is dark so she cannot see all her family and friends. During dinner, with cool love music playing, the lights come on, she looks around and sees every familiar face, she is surprised.

You go down on one knee and ask her to be your wife.

    “Sweetheart, will you marry me?”

She looks into your eyes and says…

    “No.”

Then walks out of the place.

    What would you do?

  • What would you do?

Ladies, what would you do if…

You find out your fiancé has impregnated your neighbour’s 15 year old daughter?

  • Prayer for a New Week!

May you find the will to push through life victoriously

May your path be guided, no misfortune will meet you

May you find unspeakable joy in your life

May your heart sing songs of praise regardless of present situations

May your tongue be laden with Wisdom

    May true Knowledge guide you

May you find favour that enriches

May you live accordingly, as you are created to!

    Amen!

  • 5 cool things you can do this weekend

So the weekend is here and you are thinking of ways to spice it up!

Here are a few cool things you can get up to:

    Go Karaoke!

Find a nice bar with Karaoke on the menu and sing to your heart delight! Good thing about Karaoke is that you don’t have to be a musician. Take your bathroom voice along with you and share it with everyone.

    Host friends:

Why go out the usual way, do something different! Turn your place into a mini bar and have a few friends over. Play some music, pour some wine, prepare some finger foods and let the conversation be the icing of the cake. People are more relaxed that way.

    Play a sport:

Go to the beach with friends and play volley ball; or find a nice field and do some outdoor sports. You stay fit and everyone has fun!

    Learn something new:

Go swimming, learn the piano, join a yoga class…find something new and thrilling, and start learning!

    Get busy online:

Put up an audio work on soundcloud, record a video on google plus, start a conversation on twitter, open a new group on facebook…keep your virtual life active.

    Enjoy the weekend!

  • Flashback Friday: Phone Booths

    We’ve come a long way…

Do you remember the times when we used to have long queues at phone booths, the days of phone cards and really poor phone services?

For some reason, I just had these thoughts today and I had such a laugh recounting these moments.

Let’s have a good laugh today. Share your experiences with phone booths and the ‘old school’ NITEL phones we used to have before.

  • -Because I’m HAPPY!

The Happy song by Pharrell Williams has become a viral phenomenon! It has been translated and executed in many languages, by all races, all over the world!

We’ve seen the collage of Happy moments from schools, offices, and regular people who endorse to what happiness is- the richness of confessing that I am full of joy, I am HAPPY!

So what does Happy mean to you?

If you have to do your own collage of Happiness on youtube what would it look like?

Just remember Happiness should radiate wherever you go and through you- always.

When you wake up, be Happy!

When you realise there’s no electricity and it’s so hot you can barely put some lotion on your skin because of the heat- be Happy!

If you are stuck in bad traffic and harassed by fellow drivers in the bustling city of dreams- stay Happy!

If you get to work and there’s a pile of work that you must finish- do it all HAPPY!

When you don’t get the bank alert you’ve been expecting- just be Happy, regardless!

If you get back home and there’s still no electricity, you’d have to grope in the dark with a weak phone light- stay HAPPY!

So what are your happiest moments in life so far? Do share!

Have a HAPPY day- at work, home, school wherever!

  • See what I’m reading!

You Can Do It (even if others say you can’t) is a John Mason classic!

The quotes and issues addressed in the book are powerful enough to change your life forever.

A 189-page book, Mason tackles the many issues of life that keep us from growing or attaining success. It’s a must read for anyone who is dying to think out of the box and embrace the truth about life.

Let me share some of the significant quotes in the book:

If the truth were known, most of our troubles arise from loafing when we should be working, and talking when we should be listening.

Regret is an appalling waste of energy.

Tomorrow is the only day in the year that appeals to the lazy man.

The best years of your life are the ones in which you decide your problem are your own. You don’t blame them on your mother, the ecology or the president. You realize that you control your own destiny.

The most important thing you can ever do in life is find a dream worth chasing- and when you catch it, find a bigger one.

Hate is a prolonged form of suicide.

Envy has no holiday, it has no rest. The envy that compares us to others is foolishness.

Have the confidence enough to know that you and God make a majority.

Wow! I’m blown away all over again just reading it.

Enjoy the beginning of a new week, new hopes.
