Hello lovelies, pls say happy birthday to my hubby 💋💋❤️🎂🎂🎂
On Sunday 2nd June 2019, the founder of the Del-York Creative Academy (DCA), Africa’s premier filmmaking and media training hub M. Linus Idahosa and his wife, Actress Stephanie Linus alongside DCA Lecturers, DCA-US Representatives and the local Del-York Team were hosted by the Metropolitan Senior Pastor (MSP) of the House on the Rock (HOTR) Church, Pastor Paul Adefarasin and his First Lady (FL) Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin.
During the meeting at the HOTR Sitting Conference Room, MSP Paul Adefarasin appreciated the unrivaled and noble efforts of the academy in training African creative talents. The Lecturers expressed delight at meeting MSP Paul Adefarasin and his wife Ifeanyi Adefarasin. They revealed that the month-long training has been impactful; DCA students are eager and committed to changing the African narrative through storytelling and they were honoured to be in Nigeria building the African Creative Industry in partnership with the Del-York Creative Academy.
While commending the founder of the academy, Mr. Linus Idahosa, for his world-class investment in African talents, MSP Paul Adefarasin celebrated the prolific DCA Lecturers for “sacrificing their time in a bid to better invest in the Nigerian Media and Filmmaking Industry.” He made the remark while assuring the founder of the academy and the DCA team that the academy’s training will greatly impact the African creative industry and improve the African storytelling culture.
The visit was not concluded until MSP Paul Adefarasin and his wife FL Ifeanyi Adefarasin explained the significance of names and proceeded to give all the DCA lecturers native names.
Pastor Paul Adefarasin and his First Lady (FL) Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin. presented them with several tomes on our Nigerian heritage and history (including the rich Benin culture and the notable Benin Wall), which he said he hopes will fuel their desire for knowledge of the motherland and influence their artistry about this vast and rich Nation and the African Continent as a whole.
Pastor Paul said he believes unequivocally that their visit will greatly impact and strengthen the creative industry in Nollywood, improve our storytelling culture and birth many productive partnerships.
We just completed three awesome screenings of the movie DRY at the Pan African Film & Arts Festival (PAFF) and I am totally overwhelmed by the positive feedback and support from everyone who was a part of this.
In 2016, Dry won the Best Narrative Feature at the PAFF. I’m so honored that we were called again this year for another screening. This goes a long way to show that the message of speaking out for girls and women never gets old and should always be at the forefront. Going by the immense positive impact Dry has made across the world in changing the narrative concerning child marriage and other forms of social injustice, we are not relenting anytime soon.
Meanwhile, Some notable guests who were present at the screening were Darwin Shaw (Dr. Alex in DRY), veteran actress Sheila Frazier, veteran actor Danny Glover, co-producer and editor of Dry Jane Lawalata and many more. My darling husband Linus Idahosa was by my side during this event and I’m immensely grateful for his love and support.
Big thanks to everyone who showed up or supported this screening in one way or the other. I’m so grateful!
It was my 6th wedding anniversary just two days ago and I’m so thankful to everyone for your kind wishes. I’ve been overwhelmed by so much love from you all and I say a big thank you to everyone! May God bless you and continue to give you reasons to celebrate always.
Happy Wedding Anniversary to #mysoulmate. Thank you for filling my heart and our home with so much joy and laughter.
On this day you married me like a princess, I still remember how you stood gallantly like the Prince that you are, poised to sweep me off my feet. I’m eternally glad I chose right.
May our Father continually give us the Wisdom and Strength to be instruments of change to our world.
Yesterday was Valentine’s Day, a day celebrated around the world to show feelings of love, affection and friendship. Each year on February 14th, many people exchange cards, candy, gifts or flowers with their special “valentine.”
My day was beautiful and I spent it with my hubby as usual *wink* 💗 💗
How did you spend your Valentine’s Day? Did you give or receive any gifts? What does Valentine mean to you?
Two Sundays ago, I was at the Harvesters International Christian Centre here in Lagos with my hubby for a program tagged Adam & Eve Special. This was a couple’s event where we shared our experiences about our marriage, our love and how we keep it together.
We had an interesting time in the presence of God and His children and I pray that there will be a renewal of love in our marriages and our homes this new month.
It’s been two days since my son, Maxwell celebrated his first birthday but I am still in a joyous mood. There is so much to be thankful for and I am very grateful to God for his infinite mercies upon me, my husband, Maxwell and all our loved ones.
On Sunday 23rd October, Maxwell Enosata Linus clocked one! Yay!!!!
I am still so overwhelmed at the turnout of people and the support we received that day. Believe me it was fun all the way!
All the kids who came were so excited, good mannered and very very intelligent! As I watched them play around, answer questions, eat and participate in all the activities, I couldn’t help but appreciate the sacrifice their parents make everyday to ensure they bring them up so well.
The parents, aunties and uncles were not left out of the fun too. We rocked that dance floor!
Truly, the past year has been the most exciting for my husband and I with Maxwell in our lives and as we look forward to celebrating many more birthdays and joyous occasions like this, I pray the same for you – that joy and laughter shall not cease in your homes.
Thank you so much for all the lovely messages and birthday wishes. On behalf of my family, we love you and appreciate you!
I hope you enjoy seeing these photos from our day:
Four years ago, I got married to the man of my dreams.
There is so much to thank God for, so much to celebrate, so much to appreciate, so much to aspire, so much love to give. It seems like we are just starting, and I’m truly grateful to God for bringing us this far.
Happy Wedding Anniversary to me and my soulmate. I love u deeply.
Here are some lovely throwback photos and videos I couldn’t help sharing today as we celebrate God’s faithfulness in our family:
I looked forward to the DRY Movie Premiere in Lagos for a long time, and I’m glad the day finally came and we had a very successful event.
On Sunday 2nd August 2015, movie industry enthusiasts, key stake holders and lots of guests gathered at the Silverbird Cinema in Victoria Island Lagos for the ‘DRY’ Movie Premiere.
The critically acclaimed movie had been long awaited by many who were excited to see the movie and gave it excellent reviews after watching it.
Written, produced and directed by my humble self, DRY is an inspired true story that follows a trail of Zara’s (played by me) trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her child hood, her experiences and heartaches while working with young girls suffering from complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African culture. It is full of intrigue, suspense, unbelievable surprises, the joy of reconciliation and the power of the human spirit that is guaranteed to captivate and engage moviegoers.
I’m very grateful to everyone who turned up to give their support. You are all loved and appreciated and I thank you so much for coming. A big thank you goes to my husband Linus Idahosa, Genevieve Nnaji, Rita Dominic, Sola Sobowale, Mo Abudu, Ruth Osime, Nkiru Anumudu, Tara Fela-Durotoye, Ray Kyles – British Deputy High Commissioner, Representatives from the Canadian Embassy, Representatives from the US Consulate amongst others.
The film stars: Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron, Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown, and Introducing Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge as Halima the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age. Produced by Next Page Productions, this film was supported by the Office of the special adviser to the president on MDGs Nigeria, Aberystwyth University Wales, Diamond Bank, Ford Foundation, Project Act Nollywood, USAID Acquired Fistula Project, Vlisco and more.
DRY will be available in Silverbird Cinemas nationwide from Friday 14th August 2015. Don’t miss it!
