  • May Is Here… Happy New Month!

Welcome to the month of May! The month of Grace!

It is not a coincidence that the first day of this very special month falls on a Sunday. I have every reason to give thanks to God for a wonderful year so far.

As we step into a new month, may God’s power connect and place you on ladders of testimonies.

May your tomorrow be brighter and may this new month be more successful.

I wish this month brings more inspiration and love in your life.

    Happy new month!!!

  • Wow! Q1 Is Gone Already!!

    Happy new month SL Fabz,

The first quarter of the year is gone and we are starting another one today! Whoops!!! How time flies.

The First of April marks the end of the three month milestone for the year. Yep, we’re a quarter of the way through the year already. A good time to review your progress relative to what you’d like to achieve over the course of the year.

How far with your goals? Any progress?

While we’re busy playing the April fool pranks, it’s also a good time to ask ourselves such important questions.

Review your goals and check how far along you are on the path towards reaching them this year. Where are you falling behind? Do your goals still make sense? What’s slowing your progress? Where did you fall short, or mess up?

If you didn’t meet your goals, or you set the wrong ones and they don’t make any sense anymore, revise them or cast them off. It’s a new quarter. If you still feel your goals are the right ones, that’s awesome.

You may not have met your goals yet, but at least you should be taking steps to meet those goals, so that you won’t arrive at December and wonder why you did not achieve what you wanted.

We should all have goals that take us closer to achieving our dreams. That is what sets us apart.

I wish us all a fruitful new month and a successful second quarter of 2016 as we work on our goals daily.

    xoxo

  • Why It’s Necessary To Fail Sometimes

Sometimes in life, you get this moment you realize if you hadn’t failed miserably, you would have never learned your lesson.

People fail all the time – often failing multiple times at the very same things. Failing is one of the greatest things in the world, as it reminds us how imperfect we are. It reminds us how much we need to learn in order to become the people we wish to be.

Some of your largest failures in life will become your greatest assets. Some day you will realize that if you had never failed, then you would have never succeeded.

It’s when we are youngest that we learn most. Life teaches us lessons with rapid regularity. The older we get, the less frequent these lessons become. From the day you are born, all the way through your 20s is when you will decide the person you will be for the rest of your life.

The things you’ve experienced, the things you’ve tried and seen have established the core person you are right now. One day you will likely look back at it all – all the fun and all the hardship – only to accept that it all must have happened, that it was all completely necessary.

I’ve definitely had my share of failures in life, experiences that made me feel really bad at the time it happened, but later made me stronger.

SL Fabz, have you ever felt this way before? Have you ever failed at something and realized later in life how much you learned from that experience?

    Let’s share!

  • What Mentally Strong People Know

We often hear advice like, “Think positive and good things will happen,” or “Try your hardest and eventually things will work out.” This works because most times, your success is directly linked to how you think.

One major fact about successful people is that they manage their emotions, thoughts, and behaviors in ways that set them up for success in life.

We can all learn from these mentally strong people and accordingly, we can become mentally strong(er) ourselves. And when we do that we enjoy more success, happiness and less distress.

    Mentally strong people do not:

      • Quit when things get tough
      • Waste time feeling sorry for themselves
      • Blame others for their problems
      • Envy others
      • Shy away from change
      • Worry about pleasing others
      • Waste energy on things they can’t control
      • Dwell on the past
      • Go along with the crowd
      • Procastinate

    Mentally strong people do:

    • They know failure is part of success
    • They believe in themselves
    • They celebrate the success and happiness of others
    • They train their minds to see the good in everything
    • They use their fear to motivate action
    • They learn from their mistakes
    • They take calculated risks
    • They are tenacious with their goals
    • They are not too proud to learn from others
    • They spend quality time alone

So SL Fabz, which side are you on? Have you been doing the things mentally strong people do or don’t?

I encourage us all to join the train and build ourselves up mentally.

I’d like to hear from you. Look through the list. What is the most difficult thing you feel you shouldn’t be doing but can’t help yourself. Or the most difficult thing you feel you should be doing but aren’t. Let’s learn from each other.
