  • Make Me Fabulous Style Showcase: Episode 1 & 2!

    I need to take a moment to appreciate the glam team behind all the fabulous looks we’ve had so far on Make Me Fabulous Season 2. They have all been truly awesome!!! From the makeup artists, to the hair stylist, the fabulous designers and stylists, we have seen them bring out their A-game all the time and we are truly grateful.

    We’ve only gone down two episodes in this season so far and the compliments we’ve received regarding the beauty and style transformations have been wonderful. 

    A woman who knows she looks beautiful and well dressed carries herself with confidence, and we’ve seen that confidence in all our guests on the show. Of course, we didn’t leave the men out!

  • Photos From Joyful & Temitope’s Emotional Encounter On Make Me Fabulous Episode 2

    Hey lovelies,

    It’s another time to share photos from Make Me Fabulous with you and I’m so happy to share this particular episode. One unique thing about the couple we featured on Episode 2 – Joyful & Temitope – is that it was the husband who wrote in this time around for a chance to be on the show. Most entries we get on this blog comes from the women, and so when a man writes in, it’s always so special to us. 

    Temitope wanted to make his marriage with his lovely wife better and stronger and we’re glad we were able to make that dream come true.

    Joyful was so excited to see the Next Page Productions team. She welcome them warmly into her home.
    This time around, we switched things up a bit and began the day with some shopping at the Max Store with the help of our stylist, Chioma Okereke.
    Temitope was not left out of the fun experience. The shopping was for both of them!
    They had a lovely time, but we still had more for them. Their day was just getting started.
    For their lodging, we found them a serene and lovely place to relax far away from the hustle and bustle of the ever busy Lagos city life – The Epe Resort & Spa!
    That look on Joyful’s face is everything! We can feel the love.
    Joyful & Temitope got comfortable in their luxury suite and we couldn’t help but feel the joy and happiness radiating from them.

    Before setting out for other activities, our lovely couple were treated to a quick lunch.
    The vast grounds of the Epe Resort & Spa was the perfect spot for some outdoor activities.
    Joyful & Temitope had fun in a game of Lawn Tennis
    And Table Tennis as well!
    Next, we took Joyful away for her fabulous transformation and that began with a visit to the hair stylist.
    We trusted no other person but Ferdinand to take her hair from this…
    …to this!!!
    Next, the talented makeup artist – Kelechi of Belle Bedazzled Makeover began her work.
    And in no time, Joyful was looking completely stunning!!!
    That blue outfit suited her perfectly, and we couldn’t wait for her husband to see her!
    The admiration on his face was all we could ask for
    And you bet he told his wife just how beautiful she looked 😍
    They settled down to have an intimate and delicious dinner…
    And afterwards, it was time to meet them. It was quite a pleasant surprise because they weren’t expecting me.
    We sat down to talk about their exciting experience on the show.
    It was such a pleasure meeting them.
    We were so glad to see them looking much happier and fabulous at the end of the day. But we were not done with them just yet!
    The next morning began beautifully and held so much promise.
    They were treated to a tasty breakfast in their suite.
    Next, it was time to explore the grounds of the beautiful resort once more. This time around, it was on their bikes.
    It was nice to see them having so much fun…
    … and creating beautiful memories.
    Soon it was time for their vow renewal ceremony.
    Joyful walked in looking stunning, and it was so fulfilling to see them looking so happy.
    But nothing prepared us for that emotional moment when Temitope got on his knees to read his vows to Joyful. The sincerity behind every word and every action was so apparent.
    Joyful could not hold back her tears.
    After that came the laughter and the smiles.
    We all had a reason to celebrate!!!
    Next, it was time to give them some lovely gifts. I love that look of anticipation on Joyful’s face.

  • The Vlisco Luxury Range Launch!

    This past weekend, I attended the launch of Vlisco’s Luxury Range Launch and I had such a good time. They have a new lace line that is simply amazing. You really need to get one for yourself! It comes in the gorgeous Vlisco waxwax design with different colours and styles to suit every taste.

  • DRY Will Be Showing In Nigerian Cinemas Nationwide from August 14th!

    After a successful screening debut in Wales, UK, the critically acclaimed movie ‘DRY’ will premiere nationwide in Nigeria beginning August 14th, 2015.

    Produced, directed, and starring my humble self, the film is an inspired true story that follows a trail of Zara’s (played by me) trip to Africa, her constant turmoil as a result of inexplicable horrors from her child hood, her experiences and heartaches while working with young girls suffering from complications from early child birth as child brides, against the backdrop of a rich African culture. It is full of intrigue, suspense, unbelievable surprises, the joy of reconciliation and the power of the human spirit that is guaranteed to captivate and engage moviegoers.

    The film stars: Darwin Shaw as Dr. Alex, the legendary Liz Benson Ameye as the Matron, Bill McNamara as Dr. Brown, and Introducing Zubaida Ibrahim Fagge as Halima the teenager who had to endure a life not designed for a child: to be married to a man who was more than four times her age. Produced by Next Page Productions, this film was supported by the Office of the special adviser to the president on MDGs Nigeria, Aberystwyth University Wales, Diamond Bank, Ford Foundation, Project Act Nollywood, USAID Acquired fistula, Vlisco and more.

    Also starring in the film are Olu Jacobs, Tijjani Faraga, Hauwa Maina, Rahama Hassan, Rekiya Attah, Hakeem Hassan and Afamefuna Klint Igwemba (aka Klint da drunk). The production’s creative team includes director of photography, Angel Barroeta, executive producer, Linus Idahosa, co-produced by Jane Lawalata with Akanimo Odon and Murtza Ali Ghaznavi as line producers and Chinedu Omorie as first assistant.

  • Guess Who’s The Face of Vlisco Women’s Month 2014 ‘Dare to Dream’ Campaign?

    I’m happy to tell you that I am the face of the Vlisco Women’s Month campaign this year! In collaboration with the authentic Dutch wax brand Vlisco, I’d be a part of various consumer activities, press coverage and events in countries in West and Central Africa to support this year’s campaign theme: DARE TO DREAM, a tribute to women who have the faith and courage to realize their dreams. 

    March is a special month for women around the world as it is the month which hosts the annual International Women’s Day and other women centered activities.

    There would be other interesting events such as the Vlisco Women’s Month Award election and the Vlisco Fashion Fund. It’s going to be an interesting journey with lots to inspire you and great prizes too. (more…)
