It’s another time to share photos from Make Me Fabulous with you and I’m so happy to share this particular episode. One unique thing about the couple we featured on Episode 2 – Joyful & Temitope – is that it was the husband who wrote in this time around for a chance to be on the show. Most entries we get on this blog comes from the women, and so when a man writes in, it’s always so special to us.
Temitope wanted to make his marriage with his lovely wife better and stronger and we’re glad we were able to make that dream come true.
Here are some lovely photos from their time on the show:
Joyful was so excited to see the Next Page Productions team. She welcome them warmly into her home. This time around, we switched things up a bit and began the day with some shopping at the Max Store with the help of our stylist, Chioma Okereke.Temitope was not left out of the fun experience. The shopping was for both of them! They had a lovely time, but we still had more for them. Their day was just getting started. For their lodging, we found them a serene and lovely place to relax far away from the hustle and bustle of the ever busy Lagos city life – The Epe Resort & Spa!That look on Joyful’s face is everything! We can feel the love.Joyful & Temitope got comfortable in their luxury suite and we couldn’t help but feel the joy and happiness radiating from them.❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️Before setting out for other activities, our lovely couple were treated to a quick lunch. The vast grounds of the Epe Resort & Spa was the perfect spot for some outdoor activities.Joyful & Temitope had fun in a game of Lawn TennisAnd Table Tennis as well!Next, we took Joyful away for her fabulous transformation and that began with a visit to the hair stylist. We trusted no other person but Ferdinand to take her hair from this……to this!!!Next, the talented makeup artist – Kelechi of Belle Bedazzled Makeover began her work. And in no time, Joyful was looking completely stunning!!!That blue outfit suited her perfectly, and we couldn’t wait for her husband to see her!The admiration on his face was all we could ask forAnd you bet he told his wife just how beautiful she looked 😍They settled down to have an intimate and delicious dinner…And afterwards, it was time to meet them. It was quite a pleasant surprise because they weren’t expecting me.We sat down to talk about their exciting experience on the show.It was such a pleasure meeting them.We were so glad to see them looking much happier and fabulous at the end of the day. But we were not done with them just yet!The next morning began beautifully and held so much promise. They were treated to a tasty breakfast in their suite.Next, it was time to explore the grounds of the beautiful resort once more. This time around, it was on their bikes. It was nice to see them having so much fun…… and creating beautiful memories.Soon it was time for their vow renewal ceremony.Joyful walked in looking stunning, and it was so fulfilling to see them looking so happy. But nothing prepared us for that emotional moment when Temitope got on his knees to read his vows to Joyful. The sincerity behind every word and every action was so apparent.Joyful could not hold back her tears. After that came the laughter and the smiles. We all had a reason to celebrate!!!Next, it was time to give them some lovely gifts. I love that look of anticipation on Joyful’s face. Thanks to our wonderful sponsors, we didn’t disappoint themThey were so so happy!Big thanks to Joyful and Temitope for being our guests on the show. We hope your marriage continues to grow in love and strength and that this marks a new beginning for you both!

Important note to all fashion lovers out there: Make Me Fabulous Season 2 is an explosion of fabulous styles to get you hooked!!!
We kicked off Episode 1 last Sunday and since then, we’ve been overwhelmed with the positive reviews of the outfits featured on the Vow Renewal Segment. The fabrics for these outfits were sponsored by Vlisco and brought to life by some awesome creative designers.
Adetoun’s outfit was designed by Mon Ami, Gbenga’s outfit was designed by Yomi Casual while my outfit was designed by Trish O’Couture. I can’t help but falling in love with these vibrant prints from Vlisco. Try one today and I bet you’ll feel the same way.
We thank all our sponsors for their support!

By now, I’m sure you already know that Make Me Fabulous Season 2 is currently airing on TV. When I thought about creating this show, one thing that was very important to me was that the show should create an opportunity for married couples to talk about the challenges they were facing in their marriage. And so, for Season 2, we created a Talk To Steph segment on the show where I sat down with each couple to discuss their experience on the show and what led them to embark on the “Fabulous” journey.
Our sessions were engaging and eye-opening and I must say I personally learnt a lot from our interaction.
For Episode 1, we had Adetoun & Gbenga and it was such a joy hosting them. When Adetoun pointed out some of the challenges they were facing in their marriage, Gbenga was quick to accept his faults and promised to make amends. I really admire him for that.
Here are some clips of Adetoun and Gbenga speaking about their marriage:
Let me also add that this segment was a complete surprise to them and they had no idea I was waiting to meet them. Here are some photos:
On Sunday August 12th, Make Me Fabulous Season 2 premiered on Africa Magic Showcase, Channel 151. The first episode was the story of Adetoun and Gbenga and we had so much fun hosting them on the show. I’ve been so touched by the wonderful feedback from viewers who watched it and I hope the remaining 12 episodes would touch your hearts deeply.
Today I’d like to share some lovely photos from the set of Episode 1 and I hope it touches your heart deeply:
Love and romance are two major pillars every couple needs to make their marriage work. The women, especially need this. After courtship, after the exchange of vows, after the babies start coming, a woman still wants her husband to be romantic and show her affection in that very special way. This is what Adetoun desired when she contacted us on this blog for a chance to be on the Make Me Fabulous Show.
According to her, there was lack of communication, lack of pampering, and lack of romance in her marriage. She complained that she felt old in the relationship and her husband was more focused on their baby’s upkeep rather than her.
I was pretty sure we could do something about this situation and so we reached out to them to give them a fabulous treat. I’ll tell their story with pictures:
The Next Page Productions team arrived at their home to pick them up. It was wonderful meeting their family. As usual, our couples always ride in style and we’re grateful to GAC Motors for this luxury ride.We had a luxury lodging experience awaiting them at The Moorhouse, an exclusive and luxury hotel in the heart of Ikoyi, LagosThe lovely receptionist checks them into their hotel suite. It’s time for them to see their suite.I love those smiles on their faces! Glad they’re having a good time.Lovebirds! They enjoyed a quick bite together, which of course provided the opportunity for good communication before we moved on to her next request – some pampering. They had no idea what we had planned for them! Our first stop was the Venivici Spa where the lovely staff gave them a warm welcome.A full body massage is always a good way to relax those tense muscles.Next, Adetoun got a facial treatment to make her skin glow!It was a very refreshing time for both of them, but we had more!A surprise shopping experience awaited them at the Vlisco Store. Here our lovely sponsors treated them to some free Vlisco fabrics. It was nice to see them have a good time.We wanted Gbenga to look charming for his beautiful wife so we took him out for a nice haircut. While Adetoun headed over to the Enthyst Place for some shopping! She met up with celebrity stylist Chioma Okereke for some dress shopping.Picking out the right clothes is so important for a fabulous look.We still had more to do in transforming Adetoun’s look and our choice for a hair stylist was Ferdinand. And he didn’t fail in transforming her hair from this….To this!Next was her makeup and Kelechi of BelleBedazzled did her magic.Wow! Look at that glow on her face. Isn’t she stunning!!!The highlight of the evening was a romantic dinner and Gbenga was patiently waiting for his wife.He had no idea he was about to see a gorgeously transformed woman. They sat down to enjoy a lovely dinner….… which got emotional at some point.I was so glad we were able to make them so happy. But I still had one more surprise for the night. They had no idea I was waiting to see them, and they walked in pleasantly surprised! It was so lovely meeting them.We sat down to chat about their time on the show and their beautiful marriage. And that was it for the night! But we were not done yet. The next morning, we introduced something really special which they weren’t expecting. A vow renewal ceremony! It was so heartwarming to see them reaffirm their love for each other. They pledged to strengthen their marriage and that gave us so much joy to watch. We celebrated the glorious event with a cake and some wineAnd our wonderful sponsors put even more smiles on their faces with lovely gifts! It was wonderful having them on the show and I wish these two a lifetime of happiness together.
Many thanks to our sponsors for making this episode possible. We truly appreciate you!

Stephanie Linus, Nigeria’s award-winning film actress, director and producer recently attended the second edition of the “Dialoghi a Spoleto” and Carla Fendi Foundation event in Italy. The event is part of the official events of the Festival dei Due Mondi di Spoleto 2018.
The five-day event which was marked by six meetings of great female figures of the international scene ended yesterday, Sunday 8 July.
From Africa, to Afghanistan to Italy, the delegates discussed several world issues such as: slave trade, the struggle for equal rights, culture as a vehicle for emancipation, women’s health, agriculture and globalization in relation to the female world, social commitment, cinema, music, art. While speaking at the event, Ms. Linus called for more attention to the plight of victims of human trafficking as well as education and empowerment of people who are at risk of being trafficked. “In ending slavery, we must be conscious about empowering and educating people, because otherwise, we’re going to have to deal with it for years to come.”
Dialoghi in Spoleto, a yearly event which is held in Italy, is lauded worldwide as an open place for mutual exchange. This year’s event was hosted by the renowned Italian writer Paola Severini and was attended by women from all over the world including including: Sister Gabriella Bottani, world coordinator of the fight against trafficking in persons; Luigi Manconi UNAR coordinator – National Office; Marcelle Padovani, expert in organized crime and correspondent of Le Nouvel Observateur; Marina Pendes, Minister of Defense of Bosnia-Herzegovina; Nessrin Abdalla, Kurdish commander of the People’s Popular Protection Unit; Alka Sadat Afghana film producer; Irene Bignardi film critic; Anna Querci president Anna Querci Design Foundation; Nicoletta Mantovani Pavarotti music and theater producer; Anna Grassellino researcher at the helm of the Fermilab in Chicago; Patrizia Sandretto Re Rebaudengo President IEO-CCM (European Institute of Oncology-Center Cardiologico Monzino); Daniela Trabattoni Head of Women’s Heart Center; Olga Urbani, entrepreneur in the food sector; Shoshan Haran, founder and general manager of Fair Planet; Clelia Piperno, CEO Project Talmud and Luigi Scordamaglia, President of Federalimentare.

In partnership with international medical humanitarian organization – Doctors Without Borders (MSF), the actress visited the rescue ship Aquarius where she met with some victims of human trafficking, among other activities. She continues to advocate against the scourge of forced labor and human trafficking. “Ultimately, I hope this leads us in the path to justice on behalf of the millions of human trafficking victims who have been trapped in some form of slavery, bonded labor, or forced prostitution; and a sharp decline of these staggering figures,” she said.
In commemoration of the International Day to End Obstetric Fistula, I had the pleasure of visiting Ghana for the screening of DRY in my capacity as the UNFPA Regional Ambassador for Maternal Health in West and Central Africa.
As many of you know, I created this movie to shed light on Fistula and draw the world’s attention to urgent measures needed to protect girls and women from falling victim to this condition. I’m very glad and humbled that four years after its release, the movie is still doing justice to this calling.
We had a fantastic and informative evening at the screening. As usual, DRY delivered in creating awareness about obstetric Fistula and maternal health.
I also had the pleasure of meeting the beautiful former first lady of Ghana – Mrs Nana Konadu Agyeman Rawlings, who enjoyed the movie and hope it gets screened in the whole of Africa every week for one year!
SL Fabz, let me know if you want DRY in your Language.
And also, a big thanks to my glam team for putting this look together.
This past weekend, I attended the launch of Vlisco’s Luxury Range Launch and I had such a good time. They have a new lace line that is simply amazing. You really need to get one for yourself! It comes in the gorgeous Vlisco waxwax design with different colours and styles to suit every taste.
