I love to love! There’s something very heart warming about seeing two people in love. It just makes me smile inside.
And it’s even more cool to see a couple whose love has stood the test of time, couples who have been in love for so many years and are still very much into each other. How sweet!
If you didn’t believe in love before, I hope these pictures will make you have a rethink. I came across them recently and each one of them made me smile.
Wouldn’t you love to grow old with your spouse and still play games together as elderly people? I definitely would!

In collaboration with the authentic Dutch wax brand Vlisco, I’d be a part of various consumer activities, press coverage and events in countries in West and Central Africa to support this year’s campaign theme: DARE TO DREAM, a tribute to women who have the faith and courage to realize their dreams.
March is a special month for women around the world as it is the month which hosts the annual International Women’s Day and other women centered activities.

It’s always such an inspiration to read the stories of brave women who do not let societal and cultural stereotypes negatively affect their success in life.
Kenyan actress, Lupita Nyong’o who is now making waves in Hollywood is one young lady whose success I’ve been keenly following, not only because we share the same profession, but because she embodies what a true African ambassador should be.
Yesterday, Essence Magazine held its 7th Annual Black Women in Hollywood Luncheon at The Beverly Hills Hotel in LA where Lupita along with other guests such as Oprah Winfrey, Tyler Perry, and Kerry Washington were celebrated. Lupita who is nominated for an Oscar for her role as Patsey in 12 Years a Slave, was honoured at the event and she gave this amazing speech about black beauty which I’ve read over and over.

The sad events of killings and abductions of some young people in some Northern states recently has left me with a heavy heart.
In Borno state, 20 young women were abducted after a raid at a village. As if that wasn’t terrible enough, about 29 students were reportedly killed at the Federal Government College, Yobe.
I can’t begin to imagine the devastation and grief the parents and loved ones of these affected young ones must be feeling. (more…)
Today, I watched the inspiring video of an 80 year-old woman in Uganda who enrolled in Primary school to enable her learn English and read the Bible.
I was amazed by her story!
It was interesting to see her sitting in a class and learning with children young enough to be her great grand kids. But the determination and agility with which she ran to the school compound, joined the kids for assembly and listened in class was simply wonderful. (more…)
