    Well, we have your answer!

Designer sunglasses (invest in a good pair).

Portable espresso machine (If he loves coffee, yes!).

Leather wallet (you can never go wrong with this. His money and his ATM cards need a home).

Laptop bag (Get a good quality one. He takes his laptop almost everywhere, right?).

Cologne and men’s products (spoil him with men’s skincare and watch him glow).

Food delivery (spoil him with a platter on D-day. Yum!).

Wireless Bluetooth portable speaker (an essential and thoughtful gift).

Leather passport case (Aha! Smart gift).

Airpods (something he can use everyday, very useful).

Whiskey/Cognac (invest in a premium bottle).

Expensive brand of coffee (If he is a coffee lover, he’ll smile).

A phone (if you can upgrade what he already has, why not?).

Beard grooming kit (if he has beards, definitely!).

Sneakers (you can never go wrong with a pair).

Will Smith’s book (WILL would be such a great gift!).

  • FEB. 14: What do women want for Valentine’s Day?

What are your plans for the big Love Day? Are you expecting any grand event?

Five women share their expectations for Valentine’s Day:

“I would like a lovely dinner after work. I would also like to receive bank alert. Afterwards, I would like to be left alone to sleep in a hotel for the rest of the week.” – Arin Davies, banker.

“I want an engagement ring. That’s what I want. I’m 32 and I want to move to the next level of my life as a woman. I dated someone for three years and he broke my heart. I’m seeing this guy but it’s not a serious relationship. I can’t think of anything I want more than to find a man ready to settle down and get engaged.” – Blessing, stylist.

“I will like a trip to Seychelles or Maldives or Zanzibar. A nice Valentine get-away, sipping Champagne and having mind-blowing sex. Those are my wishes.” – Ndidi Ugwoke, copywriter.

“I would love to receive flowers and gift – a wristwatch and a perfume delivered to my office. The idea that my colleagues can see that I am loved would make me feel really special.” – Pelumi Oyerinde, customer care.

“I’m a new mother and I’ve been married for four years, I have never been treated like a princess. I would like a full day at a spa. I would like a full day of doing nothing. Let someone else stay up at night while I grab some sleep. That’s all I want. Oh! And some chocolates. I love chocolates!” – Tricia Udom, digital marketer.

PS: Readers, share your expectations for Valentine’s Day.

  • Hot Topic: Would You Marry A 30-Year-Old Man Who Lives With His Mother?

    Hey lovelies,

A young, unmarried friend of mine approached me with this question some days ago and I wanted to share it here to know what you think.

Here is the scenario: The lady is in her mid 20’s and ready to settle down. The man is 30, met her at a work-related event and they clicked immediately. They’ve been dating for almost a year, met each other’s friends and are getting ready to take it to the next level by meeting each other’s parents. His father is late and he is an only child, hence, his closeness to his mother. His mother also has some health challenges and he’s been taking care of her since he lost his father 5 years ago. It’s never been an option to leave his mother and he never thought about it until she raised some concerns. According to him, his mother will live with them if they get married and he’s not going to change his mind.

What would you do if you were in this situation? Would you go on with the relationship and eventually marry him, knowing you would be living with your husband and mother-in-law? What would you advise this lady to do?

I’ll love to know what you think. Please share your comments below.

  • Could You Eat Just One Food For A Whole Week?

When it comes to my diet, I like variety! I get bored easily when I eat the same food for a couple of days and like to cook different meals as often as I can. Asides from the numerous health benefits one gets from eating a balanced diet made up of all the necessary nutrients – vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein, and fat-food is more enjoyable when there is a variety to choose from.

However, some people can just eat the same food over and over for a long period of time. Take kids for instance, when they love one food, they want to eat it every day! But sometimes adults do exactly the same thing. Do you fall into this category?

Is there a single food that you can survive on for one week? Do you sometimes find yourself repeatedly eating the same food over and over again – hint: rice and chicken *wink*? Could you eat just one food for a whole week, and if yes, what would that food be?

Let me know below in the comments section. I look forward to reading them!

Good friends are precious gems. They are priceless, valuable and difficult to part with.

I’m sure many of us have had such experiences with people who were once very close to us. So let’s recount them today and learn from each other.  What is the worst thing a friend has ever done to you? Were you able to forgive this friend of yours?

  • Should You Save To Buy A Phone?

The iPhone X is out! People are going gaga over it. It was introduced to the market with a price tag of $1,000.

    One thousand dollars equals N360,500!

    Hmm!

What else can you use N360k to buy apart from the latest phone?

  • Sending Love and Light to all victims of flood

It is a serious and heartbreaking situation at Texas. The city is submerging! Hurricane Harvey has left in its wake destruction. Five people are dead, and almost all institutions are shut down – schools, airports etc.

We, in Nigeria, know what it is to suffer flood. We don’t have hurricanes, but our drainage aren’t handling issues as simple as rain. Weeks ago, we had pictures on social media of houses all across Lagos and flood taking over residents’ homes. It’s a sad situation.

In Houston, Texas, it’s a dire situation, and evacuation is possibly the next step.

There are many Nigerians living in Houston. To our brothers and sisters, and to the entire Texas, here’s some warmth and prayers coming from Nigeria.

We know our issues here in Nigeria are many, the little girl killed in Onitsha over last week is just heartrending. There’s so much pain in the world.

For everyone seeking succor, one way or another, may you find relief in the most painful part of your existence.

    Amen.

    xoxo SL

  • What would you do with a whooping $758.7m?!

A Massachusetts hospital worker has won the largest single-ticket prize in US lottery history, a whooping $758.7m Powerball jackpot.

Mavis Wanczyk’s numbers hit the jackpot, now she is a multi-millionaire!

What she did, after winning, was call her employers immediately and inform them that she wouldn’t be going back to work.

    LOL!

She had posted on Facebook not too long ago that she wanted a vacation. Apparently, she couldn’t afford it then. But now, she can afford an entire vacation for a whole community!

Amazing! See how the wheel of luck/fortune can turn in just a minute!

So here’s a Saturday Question: What would you do if you won that kind of money?
