On Sunday 30th March 2014, I had a fabulous time at the Vlisco Women’s Month Award Night which took place at Federal Palace Hotel, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The event was part of the celebrations to honour the outstanding achievements of West and Central African women by identifying and rewarding those who inspire others to realise their dreams.
As the face of this year’s International Women’s Day campaign, I was honoured to be part of such an event that celebrates women and their achievement.
Big congratulations to Adesuwa Onyenokwe, Publisher and Editor-In-Chief of TW Magazine who won the Vlisco Women’s Month Award for Nigeria. During the event, the winner of the Vlisco Fashion Fund was also presented with her award and cash prize.
It was great seeing the veteran actress Joke Silva and dancing away as Waje dished out some lovely songs.
My short printed Vlisco gown with silver embellishments was designed by Mon Ami. A big thanks to him! I haven’t stopped receiving compliments about my outfit.
And to the entire Vlisco team, it was such an honour being an ambassador for the Vlisco Women’s Month. I’d bring you more pictures from the Award Night scheduled to hold in Ghana in a few days. But for now, here are some photos from the Lagos event:
