The answer to this question depends on what you believe in and the faith you subscribe to. If you believe that God created the heavens and the earth and everything in them, then the chicken came first, but if you believe in the science of evolution, then the egg came first. It is just a matter of personal belief.

When God created things in Genesis, He made them all matured. For example, He didn’t ceate Adam and Eve as babies. Same goes with fruits, the seeds come after the main fruit, babies came after man and woman and eggs came after chicken. All for the purpose of reproduction. Chicken first.
