  • Could You Eat Just One Food For A Whole Week?

When it comes to my diet, I like variety! I get bored easily when I eat the same food for a couple of days and like to cook different meals as often as I can. Asides from the numerous health benefits one gets from eating a balanced diet made up of all the necessary nutrients – vitamins, minerals, carbohydrates, protein, and fat-food is more enjoyable when there is a variety to choose from.

However, some people can just eat the same food over and over for a long period of time. Take kids for instance, when they love one food, they want to eat it every day! But sometimes adults do exactly the same thing. Do you fall into this category?

Is there a single food that you can survive on for one week? Do you sometimes find yourself repeatedly eating the same food over and over again – hint: rice and chicken *wink*? Could you eat just one food for a whole week, and if yes, what would that food be?

Let me know below in the comments section. I look forward to reading them!

  • Say No To Xenophobia

Nigeria and South Africa are the continents two biggest hope. As the two largest economies, our nations should be working collaboratively to solve problems that threaten our progress as a continent such as climate change, institutional inefficiencies, and insecurity.

Rather, in 2019, we’re witnessing yet another series of xenophobic attacks on enterprising Nigerians.

Humans have always migrated in search of greener pastures. In our case, Nigerians have been warm and welcoming hosts to South Africans coming to work in leadership roles in hospitality, or loyal patronizers of South African corporations in search of a piece of Africa’s biggest pie. In fact, many South African owned businesses receive upwards of 60% of their global revenue from the Nigerian consumer market. This contributes in no small way to their global reputation as a leading business hub.

The xenophobic actions being perpetrated towards Nigerians should not only result in protests and strong statements from both Federal Governments but should also result in a re-evaluation of our economic contributions to the development of a country in which our lives are consistently at risk in. The federal government should remind South Africa that without our massive consumer market, many of the companies which contribute to their GDP would not be as financially successful as they are.
The federal government should provide planes for any Nigerian in South Africa that wants to come home.

Borrowing from the examples of Malaysia, India, China, and Turkey the federal government should offer economic incentives for the repatriation of her citizens.

This is a tragedy. It is also a chance for the federal government to bolster local enterprise by investing in indigenous alternatives that can compete with South African brands on quality and service.

  • How To Style A Polka Dot Outfit (With Pictures)

Polka dot dresses are fun and playful, creating a great template for adding accessories. When styling polka dots, make it the focal point of your outfit, so your accessories need to complement it rather than compete with it.

Black and white polka dots work with just about any color, so there’s plenty of options when you want to make a fashion statement.

Try wearing bold colored accessories with a neutral color dress. A polka dot dress in black, navy, white, beige, gray, or tan looks great with bright accessories. Wearing accessories in bright colors makes them stand out.

Narrow down the types of accessories you want to wear. This may depend on the size of the polka dots on the dress. For larger polka dots, stick to a couple large accessories. If the polka dots are smaller, stick to a couple smaller accessories and one large one.

If you’re not a fan of bold colors, you can still inject some personality into your black and white polka dot clothing by pairing them with softer shades. Pastels work really well with stark black and white dots and are often a little easier to wear than bright colors.

Finally, look for a body skimming cut that’s generous enough to let you move freely, for an easy breezy fashion vibe that feels effortlessly sophisticated.

Do you have any other tips for styling a polka dot outfit?

  • Make Your Passion Your Paycheck

“Do what you love and you never work a day in your life” is probably one of the best career-related quotes. It is a dream for many, a reality for few, to make money by doing the things that you love and are good at. Imagine waking up every morning, excited to jump out of bed and greet the day ahead.

We’re not meant to be stuck at soul-sucking jobs that we hate. That’s not living. That’s surviving. That’s tolerating suffering. We are meant to use our gifts and skills and share them with the world. Whatever your passion is, there is a way to make it a part of your life.

Don’t get stuck at your job. Try these tips for turning your passion into your paycheck and ultimately living the life of your dreams:

    1. Show People What You Can Do:

Stop being quiet about your passion, you need to start talking about it, sharing it as much as you can, to as many people as possible. People won’t know that you have a passion, skills, and talents until they see, hear or find out about it.

    2. Develop Multiple Streams Of Income:

Creating multiple revenue streams allows you to make money without always having to be present or in a one-on-one setting. It gives you the ability to not only serve more clients without having to be present but also the opportunity to make money while you sleep.

    3. Set Financial Goals And Write Them Down:

Gaining clarity on what you want to accomplish is a HUGE step in achieving it. Spend a few minutes writing down your financial and life goals. Then, set a deadline to achieve it.

    4. Be Patient:

It might take time, so always be patient. I know first hand how difficult this part can be. It might take 1, 2 or 3 years before you can quit your day job or before you are ready to launch your business, but be patient, keep going and make your goals visual so that you always know what you are working towards.
