When a man wants to choose a wife, he looks for someone he is physically attracted to, someone who is pretty, and in most cases, someone who is hot.
Linda must have grabbed the attention of her husband while they were dating but after two kids and a few years of marriage, she didn’t look too ‘hot’ for her husband anymore.
This is how she put it on my blog Stephaniedaily when we called for entries for the show.
I’m a 29yr old mother of 2.just last week my husband told me that I have what it takes to be hot but I’m not hot, it hurt my feelings. Stephanie pls make me fabulous so that I can stun him, make his jaw drop.
I strongly believe that no other woman is supposed to make her husband’s jaw drop apart from his wife so I took Linda’s story really personal and together with the amazing team of stylists on the Make Me Fabulous show, we decided to give Linda a transformation that would stun her husband.
Linda and her husband live in Abuja, so they were chauffeured driven to the airport, flown down to Lagos where the treat of a lifetime began. For them, it was very refreshing to be in a new city and they eagerly looked forward to what the day would unfold.
For a fabulous time, we lodged them at the Avenue Suites, Victoria Island. After getting familiar with their suite, we took Linda out to start the transformation we promised her.
First stop was the Mango Store where she met with celebrity stylist Ebun Aboderin who helped her pick the perfect dress to wow her husband.
Celebrity hair stylist Nancy at Davnans Hair & Beauty Salon did her magic on Lynda’s hair to bring out that hidden beauty she’s always had. For that pampering touch to ease the stress away, the masseuse at Beauty Concerns gave Linda a full body massage.
Linda needed the perfect makeover and celebrity makeup artist Lola Maja was just the right person for the job.
After transforming Linda and making her look ‘hot’, she met up with her husband for a romantic dinner.

My husband and I have different working hours, mine is 8am to 4pm, and his is 4pm to 5am. It’s affecting our relationship and I urge for an outing to rediscover each other again! We’ve been married for 5 years and there’s already a wide gap in our relationship. I always feel like quitting my job! Please help me.
Her situation needed an urgent intervention and we were absolutely ready for that. The Make Me Fabulous team gave Sandra and Chukwumah a much needed treat to help close that gap in their marriage.

But by the time the car started approaching the luxurious Oriental Hotel, Lagos, they became so excited!!!So guess, are they going to have a room, are they going to have a suite?Naaah, think bigger! A presidential suite!!!Believe me, their suite was really warm and cozy.They had not one, not two, but three bedrooms to choose from. Isn’t that cool?After settling down in their suite, we took Sandra out for some shopping at the Mango Store, where she met up with Celebrity Stylist Yummie!It’s not always easy picking the best outfit, but with someone like Yummie, we knew she was in fabulous hands.With her shopping done, Sandra made her way to Davnans Hair Salon where Celebrity Hair Stylist Nancy and her team gave her a glam hairdo.Now it’s time for her makeup. For Sandra, we just had to have the best and that was celebrity stylist Bimpe Onakoya.Oh wow! Doesn’t she look stunning?Wow, it’s been an interesting day glamming up Sandra and you’d agree with me that the Make Me Fabulous team has done an excellent job. This doesn’t look like the same woman who came in to the Oriental Hotel this morning. Now, this is what I call a fabulous transformation!We’re about to wipe that bored look off her husband’s face. Just wait till he sees his wife!Aww…. he’s so happy! Remember, it’s been a long time since Sandra spent some quality time with her husband who works mostly at night. So, this night was really important to them.They settle down for dinner.Oh wow! This looks yummy. The food is being cooked right there in front of them, Chinese style... and they thoroughly enjoyed it!Sandra was not expecting me. In fact, my crew had been telling her I wasn’t gonna make it, so you can imagine her surprise when I walked in after dinner. She bolted out of her chair!Awww… It was such a pleasure meeting Sandra and her husband Chukwumah.I had some lovely gifts for them too. A phone and a tablet from LG Electronics.And of course, some Make Me Fabulous T-shirts.Just before we left, we shared a toast to happiness and fabulousity!I truly enjoyed having Sandra and Chukwumah on the show and I’m glad my team and I could put such smiles on their faces. The last Sunday in July is already here!
Is it just me or is this year moving really fast. It seems just like yesterday we wished each other a happy new year and now, the second half of the year is already moving on.
Something struck me recently which I’d like to share with you. When we’re fighting with people we love, it can become hard to see the good in them. It’s easy to pick out people’s faults. We subconsciously keep track of all the flaws of all the people in our lives.
Whether someone is vain, self-centered, arrogant, petty, bitter, or obnoxious, we can easily slap a label on every person we meet. We see the faults of politicians, celebrities, but we also know the flaws of people in our everyday lives, whether our family members, friends or co-workers…it’s very easy to find faults.
But did you know this: Our days are happier when we give people a bit of our heart rather than a piece of our mind.
Seeing the good in other people is not just necessary for giving good compliments; it also substantially improves your own happiness.
It’s my wish that we continue the year by becoming more proficient in finding positive aspects in other people. And by so doing, we get better at seeing positive aspects of ourselves.
Let’s love people for who they are!

The Make Me Fabulous team headed over to her house to pick Adewunmi and her husband up for that special…. errrm… Honeymoon Edition of Make Me Fabulous.Meeting the couple for the first time. They are happy and expectant.They get in to the cozy car we brought for them from Range Rover!“Now, this is fun baby!”They arrive at the prestigious Intercontinental Hotel, Lagos.Such a young and playful couple!I love their spirit.Very nice view from the poolside.For Adewunmi, her honeymoon is becoming even more real and she wears a big smile as she meets up with Celebrity Stylist Moses at the Mango store to pick out some clothes.Next stop is the hair stylist Joseph Mesrob who gives her a whole new hair do.Celebrity Makeup Artist Kunbi of Sitpretty Makeovers also meets up with her and works with the hair team to give Adewunmi that complete and total makeover.The first and only time Adewunmi ever wore makeup was at her wedding, and it was nothing too glamorous. She is not the makeup kinda person, she says. But when the makeover is done by a professional such as Kunbi of Sitpretty Makeover, she had a rethink. She had been married for less than two years, but already, the demands of catering for a five month old baby and her husband was taking its toll on Doris.

Isn’t that cool?Doris now heads to Celebrity Hair Stylist Joseph Mesrob who would transform her hair.The team worked together with Celebrity Make-up Artist Kunbi of Sit Pretty Makeovers who glammed her up with the perfect makeover.Oh, my! Lagos is a city where the hustle and bustle can be so over whelming, you have little time to treat yourself and your loved one to an intimate time. You wake up very early in the morning to meet up with work time and appointments, spend hours in traffic, and get home exhausted most of the time!
Just like many couples in Lagos, that was the story of Becky and Ben Elu. Love the way they are warming up to each other.Awww…..Arm in arm, they stroll back to the hotel lobby……for a drink and some snacks.Now it’s time to take Folashade out for some treats.First stop is the Enthyst Events & Bridals store where she meets up with Celebrity Stylist – Yummie who is set to glam her up for a dinner date with her husband!Wow! Lots of goodies to pack!!!

We needed to take Folashade’s hair from plain to glam, and the talented Joseph Mesrob from Joseph Mesrob Hair & Nails did just that!Of course, a fab makeover was necessary too. Bimpe Onakoya worked her magic on Folashade’s face.Now, this is what I call a transformation! Within a few hours, Joseph Mesrob and Bimpe Onakoya took her from that to this!!! Yummie added her special touch with the clothes and accessories and she was FAB – U – LOUS!Even Joseph could hardly believe how lovely she looked.Back to the hotel, Folashade can’t wait to meet her man.Gorgeous, isn’t she?You bet Mr Thomas is going to be stunned when he sees her!Aww.. so sweet.
