  • Episode 4 of Make Me Fabulous is Here! Meet the Ezedinma’s

    Immaculate and Peter Ezedinma were one of the most lively and fun couples we had on the show!

    Do you know what it’s like to be at home alone and bored for a really long time? Not a good feeling I tell you.

    Immaculate was newlywed and new in the city. Soon after her wedding, she became pregnant and was bored of staying home alone all day when she first heard of the Make Me Fabulous show.

    This was her comment when we first called out for entries:

    My Diva, I got married last year and came to Lagos since January this year. Up till now, my husband has not taken me out for once. He is always busy with work. I am lonely and crying all day which made my Blood Pressure to rise due to my condition (I’m pregnant). Please show me love this time so that I will be happy for once.

    Her story stood out to me and I desired to do something to make her really happy. But we had to wait a while ‘cos she was pregnant at the time, and so months after she had her baby, it was time for Immaculate and her husband Peter to have their day on the show!

  • Love Don’t Cost A Thing!

    Sometimes it’s hard to believe the best things in life are free. But the truth is exactly that.

    Love don’t cost a thing. And neither do all the other truly important things that matter most in life. Such as Family; Hugs; Positive and creative people; Good health; Just being able to wake up to the sun shining in the morning; Our ability to empathize; Having people who never give up on you; Having good people in life who will lend you a hand…. and much more!

    Material possessions are great, but happiness doesn’t come from the items we own. It comes from a child’s giggle or your mom’s cooking. It shows up on a sunny day or seeing your best friend walk down the aisle.

    When it comes down to it, the riches in our bank accounts don’t compare to the actual riches we have.

    On the Make Me Fabulous show which has been airing on TV for a few weeks now, we have been emphasizing the importance of love. I can’t stress this enough. Love is the foundation, love is key, everything else comes after this.

  • Lovely Photos from Toyin & Babatunde Ojomo’s First Date after 5 Years of Marriage on Make Me Fabulous Show!

    Have you watched Episode 2 of Make Me Fabulous? I’m sure you have, and I hope you loved the very touching episode.

    One unique aspect about this show is its focus on real marriages, real issues and real solutions.

    It is not uncommon to see couples who get so caught up with their busy lives, that they hardly have time to spend with each other. This was Toyin and Babatunde Ojomo’s story. They had been married for five years, and although they live together with their two lovely daughters, they have never spent a day as a couple away from home or had a date since their wedding day!

    All that changed when they got selected for a treat on the Make Me Fabulous Show. Here are photos from their lovely experience:

  • #MakeMeFabulous: The Ojomo story

    This week’s episode of #MakeMeFabulous was heart-warming, troubling at first, but ended up with a promise that was so touching, it lit up the room.

    This is the story of the Ojomo’s- a couple who have been married for five years.

    When we got to their home, we could feel the sense of affection but with a strain.

    As we later discovered, with full disclosure from Mrs. Ojomo, the couple have spent all of five years separately! They have never gone out or spent a whole day together.

    Shocking, isn’t it?

    But it’s the truth, and at some point Mrs. Ojomo broke down and cried. Especially as #MakeeFabulous was giving her a chance to spend a whole day and night with her husband; and not only that- she looked amazing for the occasion.

    At dinner time, looking across to his wife, Mr. Ojomo made the promise to create time for the marriage. He wiped her tears and kissed her, and they danced and reminisced on their love.

    *sigh*

    So beautiful!

    I am glad to be part of restoring some hope in this union through this show.

    I can’t wait for next week’s show!

  • #MakeMeFabulous: Mr and Mrs Asolo get the fabulous treat!

    Yesterday, Sunday, #MakeMeFabulous debuted on Africa Magic Showcase, Channel 151. The first episode was the story of Mr and Mrs Asolo.

    I had received a mail from her during the early stages where she disclosed the strain her young marriage was going through- two miscarriages and no time away from work. She worried and was drowning in unhappy thoughts.

    In a hundred requests, her message caught my heart and so she was the first couple to get the special luxury treat by #MakeMeFabulous!

    A woman full of life, Mrs Asolo is a delight, and as you’ll see, her husband loves her so very much even though he manages to contain his own excitement LOL!

    Family is the most important unit of living. A lot of angry, bitter, sociopathic people started their road to destruction from the home. This also applies to happy, kind, godly people.

    Our personalities are first formed from our homes. That is why it is important to ensure the home is made to be a place where love can foster, where kindness is nurtured. That is the only way we can begin to build happy parents and confident children.

    A violent, unsettled home would most likely breed its kind- children who are disturbed, unfulfilled, and destructive.

    Think of one person you know that lives on the imbalance of rage and tension; his/her issues would most likely have started from the home, with parent who were not available to train him/her; guardians who were unnecessarily harsh; maids who were abusive etc.

    The consequences of that is the delinquent you see…or just the imbalanced individual you work with.

    It all starts from family.

    So I thought to myself, the best reality show Nigerians need is one that focuses on the family- the love unit.

    Man and woman fall in love; promise to love each other for the rest of their lives, take the vow, build promises and dreams together; get married…

    What then happens when they get into marriage? Why should the tempest of joy die so soon and leave one half of the unit feeling lost, unhappy and discontent?

    That is where #MakeMeFabulous comes in. I want to connect the man to the woman and vice versa. Remember who you fell in love with. Create the right atmosphere for love to grow. And bring back the beauty of your home…let it shine through when you sit together and talk about the future.

    The hustle of life is stealing the joy of the home.

    But we can get it back. #MakeMeFabulous is all about putting back that spark in your marriage. So you can build a happy home, with children who- through the examples of the parents- in turn will build a better society.

    It’s a cycle.
