Matching Pattern And Prints

There were times, when mixing pattern and prints was a “fashion taboo” but now, it is a fashion trend being embraced by most ladies. Mixing prints and patterns is a bold and fashionable way to play with your wardrobe. It allows you to create outfit combinations you probably never would have imagined look good together.

Definitely, there are rules that guide this game, as not every pattern/print mix is acceptable. Also, mixing can go terribly wrong, so it’s important to keep a few helpful tips in mind…

1. Match colours not print: if the colours go well together, the patterns would most likely go well together.
2. The simpler and more graphic the prints are, the easier they are to match. For example: black and white stripes go with most things; the same applies to gingham prints and hounds tooth. They are easier to mix with floral and animal prints.
3. You could always include a neutral to calm your outfit down, if you think it looks too busy. Just like I did with my yellow blazer in the pic above. This draws some attention away from the busy outfit.

Stay glam and fab!

When one has been around fashion, it’s easy to spot.Their choice of fashion, colours, shoes and hand bag or shoulder bag with the shoes must all co-ordinate to compliment the outfits of the day. I usually feel happy when I see a perfectly dressed lady on her way out .
