  • Sunday Request: What Prayer Do You Need God To Answer This Week?

The Bible says, “Seek and you shall find. Ask and it shall be given to you” (Matthew 7:7-8)

What’s your most heartfelt request from God this week?

What have you been praying for all week long that you’d like God to meet?

It just might happen this week. Maybe not.

But God is always on time, regardless of how long it takes.

Share your prayer requests for the new week.

Why is that important? The Bible says in Habakkuk 2:2, “Write down the vision, make it plain”.

    Write it down, dearies.

May all your good prayers come true!

  • What would you do with a whooping $758.7m?!

A Massachusetts hospital worker has won the largest single-ticket prize in US lottery history, a whooping $758.7m Powerball jackpot.

Mavis Wanczyk’s numbers hit the jackpot, now she is a multi-millionaire!

What she did, after winning, was call her employers immediately and inform them that she wouldn’t be going back to work.

    LOL!

She had posted on Facebook not too long ago that she wanted a vacation. Apparently, she couldn’t afford it then. But now, she can afford an entire vacation for a whole community!

Amazing! See how the wheel of luck/fortune can turn in just a minute!

So here’s a Saturday Question: What would you do if you won that kind of money?

  • How to live on a low income

We all want to save for the rainy season, literally and figuratively. We want to have enough money to go on vacations and also get enough money to buy our dream house. All of that can seem impossible if you earn a low income.

Over 80% of Nigerians live on a budget and are barely getting by. How then do we tell people to save when they don’t have enough? It’s all in the DISCIPLINE of surviving. Little by little, if you put aside something every week or month, it gathers and becomes a storm.

    Let’s start now.

What can you do to live on a low income without losing financial steam?

    Stay Debt-Free!

Stop borrowing money. It’ the first step to living within your means. Being in debt is never a good idea. If you can, stay away from living in debt; unless in situations you can’t handle like health emergencies. For rent, live in a place you can afford yearly. Try as much as possible to keep your head above water as regards to money.

    Cut Down Your Expenses:

Don’t buy stuff that your income cannot justify. If it’s above your financial ability, let it go. There are so many other things you can get at a bargain. Do not live a Champagne life on a beer budget. It’ll hurt your finances badly.

    Save Free Money:

If you get a windfall, you know what to do? SAVE IT! You weren’t expecting it, were you? So save it. Do not live lavishly on a financial gift. Ensure you plan your life based on your income. Any extras should be kept aside. It might seem too harsh to live this way, but the end result of your decisions will make you proud.

    Start A Side Hustle:

Very important! My dear, find something to do by the side. Apparently, your day job or day business needs to be supported. The money just isn’t enough. Find something worthwhile to engage you during free hours. Not too many people can survive on just one source of income. Besides, if you lose your job, what would you do then?

However, without DISCIPLINE none of these can be achieved. Whether rich or struggling, the best means to financial freedom is FINANCIAL DISCIPLINE.

    Good luck!

    xoxo

  • #LoveThursday: What’s Important in Your Relationship?

    Hello Dearies!

If you have to choose two ingredients in your relationship, which two will you go for:

    A partner who RESPECTS you

A partner who pays you absolute ATTENTION

A partner with a good SENSE OF HUMOUR

A partner who has the FEAR OF GOD

A partner who has MONEY and can buy you anything or take you anywhere

A partner who is very BEAUTIFUL or HANDSOME

A partner who is great in SEX

    Remember, just pick two!

    So, what’s your pick?

  • Quick Fix to a happier YOU

Before you read the voluminous books to happiness, there are quick ways to stay happy.

    Here goes:

Minding your business: If you stay away from other people’s drama and problems, you have a real chance of embracing true happiness.

Show empathy: If you stop gloating over the pain and mistakes of others, you will find that empathy (or even indifference) keeps sorrow away from you.

Have a realistic view about life. No fairy tales of a horse coming down from the clouds to pay your rent or wipe away your debts. If you want to be happy, embrace reality and start planning your life towards self-fulfillment.

Don’t expect too much from others. Nobody owes you anything you haven’t worked for. So chill with all that entitlements. If you want something done, you most likely would have to do it yourself. Disappointment is cousin to

    unhappiness.

Make the most of your uniqueness. Instead of trying to change what makes you different from others, accept what you are and channel your unique abilities towards success.

Have a cold drink (or take shower) to take your mind off the stress of the world. You can’t kill yourself.

    xoxo

  • Did You Know: Two Cool Tips to Help You All Week!

Chewing gum makes you very alert

If you find it hard to concentrate in the morning or you experience mid-afternoon slump, chewing some gum can make you feel awake – mint flavoured gum, especially, can dramatically reduce feelings of fatigue. Chewing gum also relieves stress and reduces anxiety.

    Drinking Coffee can prevent Depression

Yup! Research found that women who drank a minimum of four cups of coffee per day could lower their risk of depression by 20 per cent. This also impacts on thoughts on suicide, as research shows that females who drank two or more cups per day were less likely to commit suicide. Caffeine gets a lot of negative press, but this is good to know!
