“Excuse Me, You Look Familiar”

While growing up as a teenager and post-teenage years in the Secondary School and University, I must have heard these words a million times. This was the most common pick up line guys used to get the attention of girls and till date, it is still the most annoying!

Even when it was obvious they had never seen me (or any of my girlfriends) before, they always said “Excuse me, you look familiar” just to get our attention. My girlfriends and I always had a good laugh about it.

Over the years, I got to hear more hilarious pick up lines and some really creepy ones too and I’m in the mood for sharing them today.

Here are some:

Your Dad must be a terrorist because he made a bomb

If I was a fly, I’d land on you first because you’re the shit

Excuse me, can you give me directions to your house

Oh, excuse me, but I think you dropped something (then he hands her a piece of paper with his phone number and ‘please call me’ written on it)

My love for you is like diarrhoea, I just can’t keep it in

If you were a fruit, you’d be a fineapple

*Side note to guys: You really need to find more creative and confident ways to chat a lady up to get her attention and respect. Some of the pick up lines I hear these days are just crazy.

Awww, guys are really naughty to caughting our attention but you know what i dont blame them bcuz most ladies, both ugly and the beauties- my apologies, too form yanga! Shai, na wetin! As if you dont want to be called by a guy. Give them a break, any how you’ve been called out just pay attention. You know what you want.

Well, the part of, ‘your face looks familiar’, i think its a very common word for guys on me way back in secondary school and higher institution.

Vividly could remember a day i was walking my narrow way when this guy showed up. I was so rude, i know i was but i needed to at that point. Hello, he said. Don’t even think of saying whatever you have in mind! I replied and added more steps to my short legs before he changes his mind on me. hahahaha! Nice one Stephanie, Kudos!

Are u serious?…so, “u look familiar” is a pickup line?..a guy said that to me last month and i really really liked the guy, i was waiting for him to ask me for my number, but he did not!…are u sure it is a pickup line?

  Lol, I don’t think guys use the “u look familiar” just as a pick up line alone theses days, I meet someone who I thought I know but obviously wasn’t d person after we talked. I told her she look familiar and even give her a ride but I never ask her for a contact or sometin cos she wasn’t who I thought. But the intresting tin is d lady saw me in another function and recognised me, she walked up to me and Said ” hi, do u remember me? And I said no, then she said remember so so and so day u give me a ride- offcurse we greeted but then she said sometin very shocking, she said cos I was not d person u thought I was, u didn’t care for my contact? Face it, alot of ladies goes out hoping for someone to say hi. So which ever pick up lines he used, pls give him a break.
